A romantic late-Spring wedding in leafy Kent

Lisa and Dave’s late Spring wedding was the epitome of a leafy Kent wedding. We filled The Manor at Bickley shades of magenta, blue and green, which were inspired by Lisa’s family tartan. We created a warm and romantic day for Lisa and Dave to host their nearest and dearest.

We transformed the orangery into a backdrop of colour for Lisa and Dave to say their vows in front of their friends and family who had travelled from all over the UK, Canada and beyond. The floral arch was filled with the first of season’s peonies, hydrangeas, roses and delphiniums to make it feel like we brought an English country garden right into the ceremony space. The arch perfectly framed Lisa and Dave as they were saying their vows, with their daughter next to them.

Their marquee was filled with delicate bud vases, potted rose plants and herbs to create a romantic garden wedding feel!

Lisa and I spent a site visit refining each of the designs that I was going to create for them. We added different tones to the colour scheme to add pops of magenta and lighter blue to contrast with the red and navy in Lisa’s family tartan, which many of her family member wore on the day.

The day was photographed beautifully by the talented Matt Trott Photography. The photos Matt took completely captured how lovely Lisa and Dave are as a couple.

Lisa and Dave’s wedding was a truly heartfelt and family affair, with The Manor at Bickley providing the perfect setting for them in the spring sunshine. I felt honoured to be able to create their wedding florals and wish them all the best for their next chapter!

Lisa and Dave gave the most thoughtful and detailed review which you can see on my Testimonials page.

A sneak peek: ‘Amy was amazing to work with as our wedding florist.

The colours, the types of flowers, the buttonholes and corsages were all beautiful and complemented our colour scheme, attire and general relaxed feel of our wedding very well. She made the most beautiful deconstructed arch for us to get married in front of and did a wonderful job on the other arrangements.

We are so grateful to have asked Amy to create our flower arrangements for us. She surpassed our expectations and surprised us with the most beautiful displays. We highly recommend Amy as your wedding florist from her professionalism, super organisation, positive attitude, open and collaborative approach and patience.’
